BOOBS!

Helloooo and happy Tuesday!

As we all know it’s officially October, so that means it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.

My grandma passed away from breast cancer a few years ago, so I know first hand how this disease can effect someone. But I don’t want this post to be too sad, just more of a PSA to all of you ladies!

Down below I included some facts about the disease as well as ways to reduce your own chances.

It’s so important to be educated since we are all at risk, so keep reading on to gain some insight!

How To Be Proactive //

Watch your weight - if you’re overweight or obese, your chances go up

Limit alcohol - the more you drink the greater your risk

Healthy foods - have a wide variety of fruits and veggies in your diet to make sure you get all of the proper nutrients

Breast exams - you should be doing these in the shower at least once or twice a month! Here is a great resource on how to do it

Do cardio - getting your heart rate up anywhere from 70-100 minutes a week is proven to reduce the risk

Check up with your doctor - get regular checkups at the doctor and let them know if you notice any changes in your breasts

Always stay aware, and if something doesn’t look or feel right, talk to your doctor! The sooner the better. x
